Abstract: The present research was conducted to study the effect of resilience building intervention program in comparison with the traditional teaching method on the resilience, achievement motivation, self-efficacy and achievement in science among class 8th students studying in Govt schools of Chandigarh. The first stage of the study focused on developing a resilience building intervention program. An effective scale to measure resilience among students was also developed with the objective of finding the effectiveness of the resilience building intervention program. In the second stage various descriptive and inferential statistics were used to reach to the appropriate conclusions. The main results of this study indicated that students who were taught with resilience building intervention program had significantly higher scores than the students who were exposed to traditional teaching method. newline
