Abstract: BACKGROUND: newlineAs per most of the majority of research papers, laparoscopic evaluation has revealed newlinethat the Sonosalpingography diagnostic accuracies, sensitivity, and specificity are newlinecomparable to those of hysterosalpingography. This study compares the effectiveness newlineand efficiency of the two procedures, hysterosalpingography (HSG) and newlineSonosalpingography (SSG), in this context. newlineMETHODS: newline50 women complaining of infertility were included in a non-randomized prospective newlinecontrol trial where suspected tubal diseases were evaluated using a variety of newlineradiographic modalities. The tubal component was assessed by: newlineHysterosalpingography - Transvaginal Sonosalpingography and Laparoscopic newlinechromotubation (in a couple cycles). newlineRESULTS: newlineOnly 10% of instances got identified with secondary types of infertility, while 90% of newlinecases involved primary types. The majority of the cases are obese and belong to newlinepeople between the ages of 26 and 30. Subjects were found to be normal in both the newlineHSG and SSG reports, and a significant correlation was established between the type newlineof infertility and the age groups but not the BMI and the HSG and SSG reports. newlineCONCLUSION: newlineSonosalpingography can be used as a screening tool in the case of low-risk patients newlinewith relation to the tubal causes of infertility. It is a safe approach to ascertain the newlinestate of the tubal and uterine cavities throughout the course of the conventional newlineultrasound scan at the location of the laparoscopy and HSG, and it can be used as a newlinefirst line of diagnostic method. newline
