Abstract: | Owing to the unparalleled abundance of chemical diversity, natural plant-based medicines, whether as standardized extracts or pure compounds provide infinite potential for new drug discoveries. Interest in plant that can be eaten has developed around the world which results in growing demand for chemical diversity in screening programmes and a desire to find therapeutic drug from herbal plants. Botanicals and herbal drugs for medicinal use contain bioactivities. This study focuses on analytical approaches such as the extraction, isolation, and characterisation of bioactive constituents in botanicals and medicinal herbs. Microwave extraction was utilised since extracting constituents from botanicals and herbal preparations is the most significant step in the screening of constituents. The presence of bioactive chemicals in plant extracts was investigated using conventional phytoconstituents screening assays, chromatographic method like TLC, and non-chromatographic method includes FTIR, Mass, and NMR. newlineTridax Procumbens (T. procumbens), an Ayurvedic herb from Asia with a long history of use, relates to the Asteraceae family.T. procumbens has been utilized in traditional remedies to cure wounds, skin disorders, and blood clotting since ancient times. Anti-coagulant, anti-leishmanial, anti-oxidants, anti-cancer, immunomodulatory agent, insecticidal, anthelmintic cardio-vascular, anti-septic, anti-bacterial, and insecticidal properties are all present in it. newlineAs a result, the primary goal of this research is to evaluated Tridax procumbens L as a new natural compound candidate. Extraction and isolation methods were used to accomplish this. crude extracts of Tridax procumbens were tested against various antioxidant parameters. newlineQualitative and quantitative phyto-chemical screening of extract of plant was performed for Tridax procumbens extract. The study s finding revealed the existance of saponins, triterpenoids, carbohydrates, flavonoids, andsteroids, tannin and phenols in extract of ethyl acetate and methanolic whereas tri |
