Numerous developing countries face the issue of slowdowns due to newlineconstant power losses even though the industrialized nations have several newlinesetups for electricity supply. The uncertain nature of power supply demands the newlineneed for automated generation of electrical power and alternative power newlinesources to back up the utility supply. This automation paves for the newlinedevelopment of smart grids which are regarded as a highly integrated power newlinebased grid and combines physical grid, remote-control technology and wireless newlinemeasurement technology. It enables fast recovery of power after failure, newlinereduction in cost of management and service, combination of renewable energy newlinesources and efficient energy transmission. Moreover, the power generated by newlinethe user has to be synchronized with the supplier of electrical utility for newlineenabling the bidirectional power flow in transmission lines. The energy newlinedistributed from the renewable energy sources may create complexities in newlinenetworks and hence the monitoring of energy flow in smart grid remains newlinecrucial. The Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) contribute a significant part in newlinethe monitoring of data even in major potent scenarios. The monitored data from newlinethe smart grid has to be efficiently stored in the Internet of Things (IoT) web newlinepage with the identification of the best shortest path along with efficient key newlinemanagement approach. newlineThe aforementioned factors are considered in this research work for newlinethe development of an improved monitoring approach in smart grid. In this newlinework, Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) is adopted for the identification of newlinethe shortest path between the nodes. The proposed neural network based newlineapproach aids in the transmission of data with minimized delay and packet loss newline
