Abstract: Electroplating waste water involves toxic pollutants which are harmful to living organisms newlineHealth exposure linked with pollutants in water is one of the major environmental protest. To prevent the harmful effects generated by existence of these chemicals, many conventional methods directly being applied for electroplating waste water treatment, such as adsorption, membrane filtration and ion-exchange. After the treatment of waste water , the recovery of the most chemicals becomes problematic and many conventional treatment techniques are noted to be ineffective as some pollutants found in water are stubborn to some extent. Most of the hazardous metal ions such as copper, chromium, zinc, lead and nickel are coming from electroplating industry wastewater, which are easily consumed by living organisms. They may cause severe health disorders to human body. Electroplating effluent treatment processes generate significant quantities of heavy metals, toxic chemicals, suspended solids and precipitates from added chemicals newline
