Abstract: The increasing demand for ultra-high-speed data transmission and the newlineneed to accommodate a large number of simultaneous users have necessitated newlinethe development of novel transmission technologies in optical networks. In newlinethis work, a multi core fiber is designed with the objective of increasing the newlinespatial channel count to increase the data capacity in the optical links and a newlinemulti dimensional code set for optical code division multiple access is newlineconstructed to further exploit the available bandwidth. The significance and newlinerole of supermodes in both multi core fiber and multi dimensional code set are newlinestudied in this work. newlineAn uncoupled-coupled group multi core fiber which has two groups of newlinecores newline
