Abstract

newline Addressing the challenges of pursuing Inclusive Sustainable Industrial newlineDevelopment (ISID) and complying with Internationally Recognised Human Rights newline(IHR) without degradation of an environmental ecosystem has attracted researchers newlineand policymakers. The United Nations (UN) seventeen Sustainable Development newlineGoals (SDGs), as depicted in Figure No. 1.1, along with their 169 targets, are part of newlinethe 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SD), as adopted by the UN General newlineAssembly Summit in 2015.16 The seventeen SDGs, along with their targets, pave an newlineequitable roadmap for a triple-bottom-line model of development, drawing together newlineconstituents of inclusive, sustained economic growth, peace, the United Nations Rule newlineof Law (UN RoL), IHR, ISID, factoring in the objective of sustainability and is viewed newlineas a result of an extensive consultative process adopting a global path to inclusive newlineSD.1
