Abstract: | Grinding is the most common method of the abrasive finishing newlineprocess. Still, the primary issue faced is heat generation due to the high -speed newlinematerial removal, which leads to thermal damage on the work surfaces and poor newlinesurface finish. Therefore, coolant is supplied at the grinding zone to overcome newlinethe temperature rise. In the grinding process, coolant is used for heat dissipation newlineat the work contact zone and flushing out of material after grinding. Over usage newlineand recycling of coolant leads to various health issues like skin disorders, newlinecancer and respiratory diseases to the operating persons. Therefore, reducing newlinecoolant usage is essential for minimizing risks to the operator. In an external newlinecylindrical grinding, the consumption of grinding fluid is more due to the large newlinearea of the grinding wheel. If the grinding fluid is supplied to the grinding zone newlinecorrectly, the consumption of grinding fluid could be reduced. EN 18 steel is a newlinemedium carbon and chromium steel used to make studs, shafts, vehicle axles, newlinekeys, train gears, etc. However, machining and finishing this steel is a crucial newlineissue, and grinding is a suitable traditional machining process for getting newlineimproved finishing, allowing it to be used in various applications newline |
