Abstract: newlineIn recent years, Energy Storage has been considered one of the most vital areas of newlineresearch for the rational utilization of energy, focusing to meet the challenges of newlinedepletion of fossil fuels and global warming. Electrical power has long been considered newlineto be the backbone of modern industry. Therefore, storing electrical energy is considered newlinea direct approach to efficient utilization of the power source. Because of its polarization newlinein the presence of an external electric field, dielectric materials can store electric energy, newlinecausing positive charge to accumulate on one electrode and negative charge to newlineaccumulate on the other. Although some of the electrochemical devices including fuel newlinecells, supercapacitors, can exhibit higher energy storage density as compared to newlinedielectrics, however, due to faster delivery of energy (shorter charge-discharge time) newlinedielectrics are promising for applications such as hybrid electric vehicles, portable newlineelectronic devices as well as power pulse devices. Thus, by enhancing the storage newlinedensity, the dielectric capacitors can be utilized for a wider spectrum of devices. newline
