Abstract: | Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) flows and fills the formwork under newlineits own weight and should be flowable enough to pass through highly newlinecongested reinforcements without any bleeding or segregation. This type of newlineconcrete must meet special requirements in terms of ease of placement, newlinestrength and flowability. Self-compacting concrete with similar water-cement newlineratio and cement-binder ratio will normally have a slightly higher strength newlinewhen compared totraditionally vibrated concrete. Studies have evolved with newlinethe impact of cement and concrete on the environment which are the main newlineconstruction materials. Several studies tried to replace the conventional newlinematerials using waste and innovative materials without damaging the newlinecharacteristics of the self compacting concrete. The present study deals with newlinethe enhancement of the engineering properties of SCC by using certain newlinemineral and chemical admixtures as cement and fine aggregate replacements newlinein SCC. The entire study was carried out in two stages, the first one involving newlinethe usage of mineral admixtures and the second study includes fibres and newlinenano pozzolanic admixture along with chemical admixture. newline newline |
