Abstract: | Many pieces of research can be seen in the direction of Khadi about its working, its management, limitations, programs under KVIC, its growth rate etc. and through literature review it was understood that people or respondents in the majority of studies showed positive behavior towards Khadi. However, a satisfactory approach towards problems faced by Khadi consumers, was not found. The main aim of this research was to analyze the knowledge and awareness level of youth regarding the Khadi fabric in the district of Panipat, Haryana. The study also aids in understanding the perception of youth, inhibiting factors in khadi acceptance. The following objectives were framed to carry research forward: To assess the knowledge and awareness of Khadi and its products among the youth in the Panipat district. Second objective was to study the acceptability and buying behavior of Khadi fabric by youth in the Panipat district. Third objective was to analyze the constraints faced by youth for the acceptability and buying of Khadi fabric. Similarly, fourth objective was to develop a strategy to promote Khadi fabrics as a fashioned fabric among youth and the fifth objective was to study the factors affecting consumer buying behavior of Khadi among youth. newlineThe present study carried out the relationship between characteristics of both buying behavior and its acceptability among youth. The 292 adults, who were between the age of eighteen to twenty-nine years from different professions and some were students were selected for the study. The sample consisted of 50% female and 50% male respondents, where the sample were equally distributed among four blocks of Panipat district namely Israna, Madlauda, Panipat and Samalkha.
