Abstract: | To attain competitive advantage, the organisations understood that a highly engaged, newlineand motivated workforce is the key to achieve business growth. Retention of talent is newlinean important agenda of every organisation in the competitive world of business. The newlineorganizations are required to be therefore to be more innovative and dynamic in their newlineTalent management approach. Academicians and practitioner are much concerned newlineabout the various practices that may reduce the employee turnover rates. Whenever the newlinediscussion focuses on talented employees, the talent management comes into picture newlineand is positioned in human resource management literature as an effective strategy for newlinereducing turnover of talented employees. Only limited efforts and a few empirical newlinestudies study Talent management from an employees perspective. Academic research newlinein the field of TM does not provide any specific conclusions for a right TM explanation. newlineIn fact, research on TM has been assumed of not being offering a right talent newlinemanagement solution to organisations to accomplish its effective talent management newlinepractices. The study and research work on the matters pertaining to employees of newlineTelecomsector in India are also very limited and few. The growth of telecom companies newlinein India is phenomenal at the same time the sector went through a phase of newlineconsolidation. Therefore, it is necessary to assess the people practices and issues in the newlinesector. This study will help in evaluating HR practices, its impact, and a critical analysis newlineof the relationship between different factors of talent management and employee s newlinecommitment in the organisation. The main objective of this research work was to study newlinethe talent management practices adopted by the telecom sector companies and to newlineexamine the impact of talent management practices on the organisational commitment newlineas well as employee s intention to stay with the organisation by using the Telecom newlinesector data in India. |
