Abstract: | Mental toughness and anthropometric parameters are essentials for athletes to accomplish the newlinemost ideal outcomes with regards to sports. In the present study the focus is to analyze the impact of newlinecross training protocol on selected anthropometric parameters and mental toughness among college newlinelevel male athletes. newlineTo accomplish the aim of the research, all subjects were selected in provisos of purposive newlinesamples under the sampling technique of non-probability sampling. Total one hundred (N=100) of newlinecollege level male athletes of Gurgaon district (Haryana) were chosen as subjects. The age of the newlinesubjects was ranged from 18 to 23 years. Following variables was selected as dependent variables and newlineindependent variables for present study: Mental Toughness, Height, Weight, Humerus Bicondylar, newlineFemur Bicondylar, Upper Arm Circumference, Calf Muscle Girth, Triceps Skin Fold, Subcapular newlineSkin Fold, Suprailiac Skin Fold and Calf Skin Fold. Twelve weeks cross training protocol was newlineselected as independent variable for present study. Pretest Post Test Group Design was used as newlineexperimental design to study the difference that will be post the training protocol. During the study newlinephase all one hundred subjects (N = 100) underwent twelve weeks cross training protocol. The newlinesubjects were tested on selected anthropometric variables and mental toughness on one day prior to newlinethe beginning of cross training protocol (pre and one day after the completion of twelve weeks cross newlinetraining protocol (post test). The data for proposed study was collected with the help of different newlinestandardized tools and methods. Mental toughness was calculated by mental toughness inventory newline(MTI) developed by Middleton (2005). All the anthropometric measurements were taken in minimum newlineclothing. All the measurements were taken from the right side of the athletes. |
