Abstract: At the global level, the largest provider of generic drugs is India. More than 50% of global demand of vaccines, 40% of generic demand in the US and 25% of all medicine in the UK is supplied by the Indian pharmaceutical sector (Global Pharma Insights, 2020). Indian Pharmaceuticals Industry is the third largest in terms of volume and fourteenth largest in terms of value. India exported pharmaceutical items worth US$ 20.70 billion in FY20 (India Brand Equity Foundation, 2020). Pharmaceutical export items include bulk drugs, newlineintermediates, drug formulations, biologicals, Ayush andherbal products and surgical. Indian pharma industry has played an important role in increasing the health standards by its affordable and high-quality generic drugs. newline newline
