Abstract: The growing significance of portable systems would not have been feasible without the tremendous growth of integrated circuits, and these will undoubtedly continue to expand their importance in a high-tech world. CMOS technologies will undoubtedly continue to be the core technologies in integrated circuits. In the modern microelectronics industry, CMOS technology is one of the most significant breakthroughs. The CMOS technology is well- defined with a set of processing steps that enables innovative materials and structures to produce functioning electronic devices. Due to the ever-increasing need for small-sized portable devices, low power design techniques are the need of the day to limit power consumption in ultra-large-scale- integration chips of very high density. To compensate the power dissipation and delay constraints, certain techniques were evolved to target low power CMOS technology. The term adiabatic refers to thermodynamic process in which no energy is exchanged with the environment and hence no energy is lost in the form of energy consumption. Adiabatic logic is one of such techniques which can overshadow the unavoidable power dissipation using reversibility newline
