Abstract: | newlineCoded modulation is a bandwidth-efficient method that combines channel encoding and modulation into a single entity to increase performance while maintaining the same spectrum utilization as uncoded modulation. Low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes are perhaps the most effective error correction codes (ECCs) that approach the Shannon limit while having a comparatively low decoding complexity. As a result, the notion of combining LDPC codes and bandwidth-efficient transmission has received a lot of attention. newlineIn this thesis, a power and bandwidth-efficient coded modulation system that relies on LDPC codes exhibiting high Bit Error Rate performance and minimal computational efficiency was investigated. Recent research studies of communication systems have shown strong characteristics of high-level modulation, such as M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (MQAM), and the majority of relevant research is simulation based. A simulation model for studying various M-ary QAM modulation methods is provided in this work. The primary objective of this research is to design a high spectral efficiency modulation approach by integrating low complexity LDPC codes with spectral efficient modulation techniques. M-ary PSK-LDPC and MQAM-LDPC model schemes were developed for multiple M values, and simulation was done for to enhanced spectrum utilization. Finally, to optimize spectrum efficiency, combine the MQAM-LDPC with multiple access methods. According to simulation results, adaptive LDPC-coded modulation offers the advantage of improving spectral efficiency while retaining acceptable error performance. This coded modulation method using M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (MQAM) will achieve excellent results while having a wide range of spectrum efficiencies. In this project, Turbo codes (concatenated convolution coder) and LDPC codes were used to get the improved Spectral efficiency and Bit Error Rate for M-ary PSK.
