The success of any business relies heavily on the level of job satisfaction, employee motivation, and dedication of its workforce. These factors are interconnected and significantly influence both employee performance and overall organizational performance. While organizations utilize various resources such as machines, materials, and money to fulfill their tasks, it is crucial to recognize that the most valuable and productive resource is the personnel. Without accessible labor, other resources become ineffective and incapable of generating results. A total number of twelve tea gardens were selected from four districts out of which six were public limited and six private limited) in the South Bank sub-region of Assam. A total number of 616 respondents were selected for data collection in the present study. Among 616 respondents, 355 respondents were from six public limited tea gardens and 261 were from six private limited tea gardens. Among 355 respondents of the public limited garden, 151 are male and 204 are female, and from 261 respondents of the private limited tea garden, 115 are male and 146 are female. The age group of the respondents is between 22-52 years. Three questionnaires were administered for data collection. 1) the Job satisfaction scale developed by Muthayya, (1984), 2) the Employee Motivation Scale developed by Srivastava (1988), 3) the Organizational Commitment Scale developed by Hyde and Roy (2006). There are 16 variables in this study. The Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) (Version 27) was used for analyzing the data which comprises Descriptive statistics, Inferential statistics, Multivariate analysis, and Correlation Matrix. To see the significant difference between and among groups t and ANOVA was used. Based on the significant difference in ANOVA Duncan s Multiple Range Test was done. The t test was used to find out the significant differences between different groups of tea garden workers. newline
