Abstract: Unprecedented population explosion and rapid industrialization are resulting to generation of enormous amount of toxic effluents from several industries, which are being discharged into the natural water bodies. Among several water pollutants, synthetic dye is considered as one of the highly toxic water pollutants, mainly release from textile industries. Majority of the synthetic dyes are extremely noxious, with carcinogenic and mutagenic characteristics which can create chronic health issues among human being as well as several animals too. newline
