dc.description.abstract | newlineThe objectives of the current study were to create awareness, promote, and create a range of products about appliqué craft skill enhancement in a government school. Therefore, for this purpose, it was necessary to consider the current understanding and aspects of appliqué craftwork among the girls of the schools. Furthermore, appliqué craft is a popular craft with a high employment potential and a thriving market. Aside from that, the research aimed to raise awareness of the importance of improving appliqué craftwork skills in government schools. newline newlineAppliqué craft is an art form in which a piece of fabric is applied to other fabric by using a machine or hand embroidery. The application of appliqué art is executed on a variety of products such as cushion cover, table, mats, lampshades, wristwatch and, bags, and jewellery. It also includes other products such as household decorative items, festivals products, pillows, seats, ritual dresses for deities, cushion cover, makeup pouch, coin pouch, bag, shoes, lamp, and others. It is regarded as one of the most influential craftworks that are used by artisans and craftsperson s to earn income and raise livelihood for their families. newline newline | |
