Abstract: newline Cultural norms and values have still role in the low educational and employment statuses of the educated women of the rural community of the country. Rural women are still not as free as men from the influences of traditional Indian norms and values in decision making process on important matters like education, marriage, occupation and career. However, more micro and macro level studies on the problem are necessary to generalize the causes of the problem.
