Abstract: This study aims to explore the relationship between occupational self-efficacy, perceived leadership behaviour and administrative effectiveness of principals on a sample of 400 teachers and 40 principals from government and private secondary schools of U.T. Chandigarh. Major findings revealed that there exists positive and significant relationship between occupational self-efficacy and perceived leadership behaviour. Significant differences were also observed among teachers of government and private schools on occupational self-efficacy and perceived leadership behavior, however no significant difference was found in occupational self-efficacy with respect to perceived administrative effectiveness. This study would be useful for policy makers, principals and teachers to suggest them the need to come up with policies to enhance the quality of leadership and administration in schools and also to enhance the occupational self-efficacy of the teachers. newline
