Abstract: INTRODUCTION newlineaspirates of various lesions. It acts conventional the benign malignant and lesions, especially of those which are suspicious for malignancy in conventional smears. It helps us to retrieve small tissue fragments in the fluid specimen in a paraffin block so that it can be sectioned, stained and viewed as a histologic section and hence can be considered as mini biopsies , obscuring factors like blood and proteinaceous material and cell loss due to partial smearing of fluid specimen leading to less cellularity and false negativity of the smear. newlineAIM newlineTo assess the accuracy of diagnosis of the thromboplastin-plasma cells blocks method compared to the traditional stain methodology in an array of bodily fluids and fine needle aspirates. newlineOBJECTIVES newline1. To prepare of fluids and of all lesions using thromboplastin-plasma cell newline2. compare diagnostic accuracy using thromboplastin-plasma technique with conventional cytology smears over fluids and fine needle aspirates. newline3. of immunohistochemistry thromboplastin-plasma cell block in a few samples received and some of which were evaluated and graded. newline4. To compare the efficacy of Thromboplastin plasma egg albumin, wherever the samples were more-than sufficient after thromboplastin plasmal blocks prepared. newlineMATERIALS AND METHODS newlineConventional smears and Cell blocks using Thromboplastin plasma cell block technique were prepared. newlineAssessment scale: Mair et al conventional smears cell block. newlineRESULTS: On comparison with conventional smear, we observed an increase in malignancy yield of 9.3%, abundance in cellularity of 20% and excellent architecture newlinein 32% of samples in Thromboplastin plasma cell block method. 59% of the conventional smears with adequate quality had superior quality in cell block smears. newlineCONCLUSION newlineHereby we conclude that Thromboplastin plasma cell block technique had better diagnostic accuracy when compared with Conventional smear lt 0.05. Hence, this method in routine cytological diagnosis with an added advantage of performing better immunohistochemistry leading to accurate. newlineKey words:, Thromboplastin plasma, conventional smears, fluids and fine needle aspirates, diagnostic accuracy newline
