Abstract: The present research topic entitled Forensic Assessment of Effect of Regional Scripts (Mother Tongue) On English Handwriting in Indiaand#8223; is an attempt to test this notion of unavoidable influence of writing habits acquired during the early phase of learning of primary language/mother tongue. The present study also assessed the major class characteristics of the five selected scheduled mother tongue languages (scripts) and further attempted to pin-point the mother tongue or primary learned language (L1) by examining the English handwriting samples. newline
