Abstract: | The current study explored the beneficial effects of pharmacological targets newlineAmbroxol, Rufinamide and Tozasertib in cognitive deficits induced by icv-STZ. newlineLY294002 (selective PI3K Inhibitor), BADGE (selective PPARand#947;-PGC1and#945;), 666-15 newline(selective CREB inhibitor) were administered to elucidate the role of various newlinesignaling pathways in sporadic Alzheimer s disease (SAD). Various behavioral, newlinebiochemical, inflammatory, and histopathological changes were assessed to examine newlinethe effect of pharmacological agents in AD. It was established that pharmacological newlineinterventions abrogated the deleterious effects of icv-STZ expressed with regard to newlinebehavioral (spatial and long-term memory), biochemical parameters of oxidative newlinestress (TBARS, SOD, GSH, catalase, AChE), inflammatory (MPO, cytokines release) newlineand histopathological changes (neuronal injury). We conclude that induced benefits of newlinepharmacological agents Ambroxol, Rufinamide and Tozasertib, may be the newlineconsequence of PPARand#947;PGC1and#945;, CREB, and PI3K pathway activation respectively, newlineand these agents can be considered as potential agent in improving cognitive deficits newlinein clinical situations. newline |
