Abstract: | Patents prevent access to life save medicines in developing countries. There is widespread and increasing concern. The potential role research universities could play in enhancing this quotaccess gapquot is underlined by recent movements and legislative initiatives. These efforts are based on the assumption that a significant number of patents are currently filed in developing countries and that universities have a large number of drugs. newlineIn management sociology approach, the present study was planned. The marketing problem of life-saving medicine is linked to the social psychology of the general public. In a management sociology perspective this can therefore be addressed. Social marketing aims at providing social goods, while commercial marketing aims primarily at achieving financial objectives. That does not mean that commercial marketers are unable to contribute to social good. A descriptive design can be used to examine the social marketing of life-saving drugs. newlineThe sociological perspective on management can help to understand the various social factors that can be considered as the basis of all facts. The success and failure of the marketing of life-saving medicines is based on social processes. The social conditions in of Urban area of Kolhapur district are not favourable for the use and use of life-saving drugs. newline |
