Abstract: quotABSTRACT newlineHigh precision components are required in the aerospace and automobile newlineindustries for accurate alignment during assembly operations. Generally, these newlinecomponents are produced by several metal forming processes such as extrusion (hot and newlinecold), rolling, drawing, stretch forming and forging. The majority of the components are newlinebars and pipes with varying cross sectional areas. Extrusion process is used to make these newlinetypes of pipes and bars. However, due to its simplicity and ease of operation, the newlineextrusion process (which involves forcing bulk material through a die with a specific newlineshape under high pressure) is extensively used.quot newline newline
