Abstract: The purpose of the study is to develop a scale to simplify the mystic Kundalini (serpent power) and newlineits scientific interpretation. Generally this topic of yoga being mysterious in nature is ignored by newlinecommon man. It is considered dangerous in nature for it awakens the latent energy tremendously. newlineAnd hence a layman is always afraid of it as it shocks the person suddenly and unexpectedly with newlinepsychosomatic unusual experiences. In this research work an effort is made to frame the concept of newlineKundalini awakening/ serpent power/ coiled power without moving into the parapsychological newlineexperiences of specifically Kundalini practitioners which are beyond the reach of a beginner. newline310 yoga students from undergraduate, postgraduate, PG diploma and Ph.D yoga programmes, newlinepractising Kundalini Yoga were purposively selected from seven universities of Uttarakhand and its newlineneighbouring state for the present research work. Validation of the statements in the questionnaire newlinefor simplified knowledge of Kundalini concept was approved by four experts and content validity newlineindex was calculated and found to be 0.98 as acceptable (Polit et al., 2007). Internal reliability or newlineconsistency (Cronbach s alpha) was also obtained for validity test. Facial validity was applied newlineduring the construction of items. Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) test was applied to justify the size of newlinethe sample. The relationship between the statements was find out through Exploratory Factor newlineAnalysis (EFA). Further factor loadings of items which were considered suitable scientific newlinestatistical tests were applied for the intended results. Confirmatory Factor analysis (CFA) for EFA newlinewas carried out for its graphical representation. The scale was tested and verified with dimensional newlinereduction through EFA by SPSS 25 version with values Cronbach s alpha 0.94 and variance newline51.87%. Sample adequacy was found the good with KMO s value 0.95 and Bartlett s test of newlinesphericity with chi square value approx. 2794.56 with significance level Plt0.001. Overall newlineXII newlineSimplified Kundalini Scale s result
