Effect of Meditation and Physical Activities Training on Cognitive Ability Behavioral Problems and Self Esteem of Students with Hearing Impairment

Abstract

The people with disability usually suffer from issues like depression, newlineanxiety, low self-esteem, poor intellectual functioning, behaviour newlineproblems, unemployment, and education barriers etc. Deafness or hearing newlineimpairment, it is described as a total or partial loss of hearing. According newlineto the WHO, schoolchildren and adolescents irrespective of their newlinelimitations are encouraged to participate to 60 minutes every day physical newlineactivity. Physical activity is defined as any purposeful body action newlinerequiring the consumption of energy generated through skeletal muscles. newlineMeditation and physical activities have significant advantages that are newlineequally vital for the overall well-being of both normal people and those newlinewith disability. There are only few researches are available, where newlinesubjects selected were Hearing-Impaired, most of these were conducted newlineout of India, none of the these on the pupils with Hearing-Impairment newlinefrom Haryana region. Objective of the study was Effect of Meditation and newlinePhysical Activities Training on Cognitive Ability, Behavioral Problems newlineand Self-Esteem of Students with Hearing-Impairment. Each of the newlinevariables was studied using a multi-group, before and post design. newline
