Predictors of relationship satisfaction among young dating adults

Abstract

Studying relationship satisfaction predictors is essential because this construct has solid implications for relationship commitment and longevity (Hendrick et al., 1988), overall health, and well-being (Dush and Amato, 2005). The sample for the present study comprised 200 young dating adults (100 males and 100 females) in the age range of 18-22 who were involved in a dating relationship in the Tricity area for the past year. Self-disclosure, faith, dependability, commitment, and respect emerged as predictors of relationship satisfaction for young male and young female dating adults. newline
