Abstract: This study aims to explore the relationship between organizational commitment, emotional intelligence, work values and core self-evaluations on a sample of 374 teachers from government and private senior secondary schools of Chandigarh. Major findings revealed that there exists positive and significant relationship between organizational commitment and work values. Significant differences were observed among teachers of government and private schools on emotional intelligence and selected dimensions of organizational commitment and work values. This study would be useful for policy makers and administrators and suggest them the need to come up with policies to enhance the level of commitment of teachers. newline
