This study aims to assess the practice, challenges, and prospects of electronic service implementation in higher institutions of Ethiopia. The study employed descriptive and explanatory research design with a mixed research approach. The required data were newlinecollected from 364 selected graduate program students by adopting a multistage sampling newlineprocedure. With the help of Stata-16 software, the collected data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study s findings showed electronic service implementation has a potential advantage for educational provision regarding flexible access, greater speed, unlimited service time, and accuracy by using technology to assist teaching however, its implementation in higher institutions of Ethiopia had shown limitations. Universities have not been able to demonstrate their ability to implement electronic service newlinedelivery to the expected level. Students electronic service usage capacity, top managerial commitment, information communication technology infrastructure, employee commitment, and training were identified factors affecting electronic service implementation. On the other hand, electronic service delivery has prospects to improve knowledge, innovation, and service newlinequality. Thus, there is a need to put a higher effort to facilitate the full implementation of service delivery by improving top management commitment, providing training for staff and students, improving information communication technology infrastructure, and developing newlinestudents electronic services usage capacity. Further, Implementation Framework for the successful Implementation of E-Service has been developed and evaluated empirically within the context of higher learning Institutions of Ethiopia.
