Abstract: The objective of the study was to find out an compare the attitude of students and professors of law colleges affiliated to S.R.T.M. University and Dr. B.A.M. University, Aurangabad towards physical education and sports. newlineThis study was a descriptive cross-sectional survey. Survey of the law college students and faculties regarding attitude towards physical education and sports was done by administering the newly developed opinionnaires on five hundred (n=500) students and sixty-nine (n=69) faculties. The researcher approached all the law colleges affiliated to S.R.T.M. University, Nanded and Dr. B.A.M. University, Aurangabad and obtained the written permission from the respective Principals. Present study considered only one variable i.e. attitude towards physical education. The opinionnaire consisted of five dimensions of attitude. Each dimension had five statements to be responded on five-point Likert scale ranging from strongly agree to strongly disagree. The scoring of the positive statements ranged from 5 for strongly agree to 1 for strongly disagree whereas, negative statements ranged from 1 for strongly agree to 5 for strongly disagree. The attitude score for each dimension ranged from minimum 5 to maximum 25 where higher score meant more positive attitude. newlineThe results in case of students from law colleges affiliated to S.R.T.M. University, Nanded show that 68.4%, had high attitude, 31.2% had average attitude while 0.4% students had low attitude towards physical education and sports. The results in case of principals and professors show that 72.3%, had high attitude, 25.5% had average attitude while 2.1% professors had low attitude towards physical education and sports. Further, the results in case of students from law colleges affiliated to Dr. B.A.M. University, Aurangabad show that 52.8%, had high attitude, 46.8% had average attitude while 0.4% students had low attitude towards physical education and sports.
