Abstract: Mayflies are important in ecology of freshwater streams, ecocycles and food webs. They have varying degrees of tolerance to natural and anthropogenesis disturbances, making them excellent indicators of ecosystem health. They are also good water pollution indicators. The present work has been undertaken on Applications, Ecology and Diversity of Mayflies from Western Maharashtra newlinePresent investigation was initiated in April 2019 to study the Mayflies with following objectives, newlineand#10146; Morphological diversity at species level. newlineand#10146; Seasonal variation in population at species level. newlineand#10146; Interrelationship of physicochemical parameters like Dissolved oxygen, Free CO2, pH, Temperature, Hardness, Biological oxygen demand, Total alkalinity and rainfall with reference to mayflies. newlineand#10146; Mayflies as food for fishes newlineand#10146; Statistical data analysis of ecological parameters by standard deviation. newlineand#10146; Sex ratio in and Predators of mayflies. newlineStudy Area: - Different collection sites from Western Maharashtra State, India. newlinePresent study incorporates the Morphological Diversity, Seasonal Variation in population of Mayflies from Sangli, Satara and Kolhapur Districts of Western Maharashtra, India with respect to interrelationship of physicochemical parameters of water, identification of food for fish in newlineV newlinethe form of Mayflies and sex ratio in and predators of Mayflies. The morphological diversity is studied with the help of compound microscope and identified by consulting appropriate literature using Identification Key. newlineThesis is comprises of following sections- newlineSECTION I- MORPHOLOGICAL DIVERSITY OF MAYFLIES AT SPECIES LEVEL. newlineSECTION II- SEASONAL VARIATION IN POPULATION OF MAYFLIES. newlineSECTION III- PHYSICOCHEMICAL PARAMETERS OF RIVERS WITH RESPECT TO MAYFLIES. newlineSECTION IV- MAYFLIES AS FOOD FOR FISHES newlineSECTION V- SEX RATIO IN AND PREDATORS OF MAYFLIES. newlineSECTION VI- STATISTICAL DATA ANALYSIS OF ECOLOGICAL PARAMETERS BY STANDARD DEVIATION. newlineSECTION VII- BIBLIOGRAPHY. newlineSECTION I- newlineMORPHOLOGICAL DIVERSITY OF MAYFLIES AT SPECIES LEVEL. newlineThis section deals with Morphological
