Abstract: In India Microfinance plays a vital role of solution to eliminate scarcity and convey the economic equality. The self-help groups are plays an important role in support the rural people especially women. The self-help group are plays a dynamic role to develop the poor and initiate women into women entrepreneurs. The study is focused on self-help groups in Bangalore Region (Rural and Urban areas). The main objective of the research is to understand on the group s sustainability in the terms of its basic operative, activities, relation of savings and borrowings in pre and post joining of the groups, The loan borrowing and disbursement will leads in the development of group pre and post joining. The research design are used for the research in primary and secondary data collection methods. A pilot study was done to validate the data. The sampling method adopted for the research is Stratified Sampling. The statistical tool used for study are simple percentage analysis, Chi square test, T test analysis, Paired T test analysis, Factor Analysis, and Analysis of variance are used to analyse the results. newlineThe research findings are self-help group members are got the more benefitted after joining groups in terms of increasing the family income through a small venture. That will leads with the development of socio- economic development activities in India. Due to the slowdown in their business and family problems the members from the groups says that there will be difficulty in repayment of loan amount, Non-cooperation among the group s members, and lack of technical knowledge. In conclusion the self-help groups were developing and also creating employment opportunities, Income generation, eradication of poverty, providing education to their children, Improvement in their saving habits etc. newline
