Abstract: quotBackground: Ivermectin, Ifosphamide, Sesame oil having antiviral, anticancer and antimicrobial activity respectively. The activity of above drug can be improved and its toxicity can be diminished by enhancing the release pattern of active constituents. The aim of this work was to develop polymer based microsponge (MS) for treatment various disease. newlineAim: Identification of Better Analytical Tools for Characterization of Sponges Through Comparative Study. newlineResearch gap The drug like Ivermectin, Ifosphamide, sesame oil when formulated in conventional dosage its concentration is increase at site of action which causes irritation and toxicity. The drug application topically, having high concentration in formulation like ointment and cream. When formulation applied topically, release of drug in skin is slow. Formulation of such a drug in liposome also create a problem that, after rupturing a liposome drug get suddenly release and causes accumulation at site. newlineTo avoid accumulation, irritation and for moderate release pattern, Ivermectin, Ifosphamide, sesame oil can be incorporate into the sponge having less pore size. newlineThe main aim of sponge preparation is to form low pore size sponge, maximum loading of drug and formation of cross linker bond. These parameters can be studied by analytical tools. This study also involves to select better analytical tool which give us the more information regarding characterization newlineMaterial and Methods: EC, HPMC polymers used in the preparation of Ivermectin Sponges by quasi emulsion-solvent diffusion method with slight modifications. Eudragit RS 100 were used in preparation of Ifosphamide micro sponge by oil in oil emulsion solvent diffusion technique. and#946;-CD and DPC were used in the preparation of Sesame oil sponges by Polymerization technique. All prepared micro sponges characterize for their encapsulation efficiency, production yield, drug polymer interaction. Shape, surface morphology visualized by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Nature of sponges determine by PXRD. Fourier transform
