Since independence, the government of India continuously brought up many changes to the growth and development of the country in all sectors, but the focus on girl-child development remains the same, and in fact, it worsened. Poor child sex ratio leads to social inequality and injustice and this has a direct and essential impact on the future growth of India. Hence this matter should be given top-most priority by the government as the economic prosperity of any country can be achieved only when social equality and justice as the prime facia motive. The government should introduce enormous schemes to protect the girl child and arrest the declining child sex ratio in India. Apart from the government, various non-government agencies and media also should keep the issue of declining the child sex ratio high on the public and policy agenda. In addition to this, television networks should air videos on girl child and remove the preference for sex selection. newline
