Abstract: Research in the Internet of Things (IoT) is witnessing an emerging trend in precision newlineagriculture (PA) applications. Wireless sensors are used for real-time data collection newlinefrom the agriculture field to meet the desirable requirement of seamless connectivity and newlineubiquitous communication between things. Real-time data collection supports time sensitive newlinedecision making in PA applications such as irrigation monitoring because supplying newlinethe right amount of water at the right time depending on real-time sensor-generated newlineenvironmental data is crucial for optimal crop growth. Thus, irrigation scheduling decisions newlinein PA based on real-time environmental data collection become automated and newlineaccurate at the same time. newline
