Abstract: | The present study was conducted in the Effect of modern media in women empowerment District Raebareli (UP) was selected for study. The main objectives extent of use of Modern Media, know the knowledge and skill level possessed regarding use of modern media by women. Modern Media played a good role in women empowerment. Modern media emerges out as a useful weapon to know their rights, however according to this study the overall knowledge and utilization of this media by women is very low. The way Modern media has played its part in portraying about the atrocities faced by the women and empowering the women, no other sector has done. The present research work was conducted in Raebareli District of Uttar Pradesh randomly selected. Raebareli district consists of 18 block, out of which two block namely Rahi and Amawan among these in each block three villages were selected randomly sampling technique. Total 300 women were selected from each village 50 respondents randomly selected. Data was collected during 15 May 2017 to 11 Nov 2017. All the data was personally collected with the help of pre structured interview schedule. The responses were recorded in three point Likert Scale and index develop. Statistical tools for analyze the data included percentage, mean, SD, rank, weighted mean, correlation. It can be concluded that highest young age group , Graduate and above ,belong to OBC category , farming + other work, mixed house, belong to nuclear family , married life , earning money less than Rs 50001 to 100000, Hindu religion , no membership of any Organization. Use of modern media by the highest to great extent for Watch serial in TV . Highest respondents not using mobile phone listen radio and watch T.V. programme , new sites for Internet and online transaction . Knowledge Level of women respondents regarding modern media about Highest strongly agree for, making virtual friends , Educational purpose , Creating awareness , Connecting for professional and Provides complete entertainment , mean score 2.93 a |
