Precisely, the study has four objectives i) to explore the factors leading to employee motivation in the government owned hospitality sector through exploratory factor analysis; ii) to confirm the factors leading to employee motivation in the government owned hospitality sector through confirmatory factor analysis; iii) to study the correlations between the employee motivation factors and job satisfaction in the government owned hospitality sector; and iv) to find out the determinants of job satisfaction in the government owned hospitality sector through regression analysis. newlineTo attain these four objectives, a survey was administered on a sample of 150 employees. Based on the responses collected through the survey, quantitative techniques of data analysis using SPSS 23.0 were employed to attain our objectives. For the first objective, exploratory factor analysis resulted in six factors of employee motivation viz. lifestyle-related factors, intrinsic factors, organizational factors, job-related factors, senior leadership factors, and professional identification factors. For the second objective, confirmatory factor analysis was employed next to confirm the structures of the six factors. For the third objective, Pearson s correlation was used to find out the correlations among the factors and it was found that four out of six factors were positively correlated with job satisfaction. For the last objective, stepwise regression method was used to find out the predictors of job satisfaction and it was found that only organizational factors and intrinsic factors were the predictors of job satisfaction. Both theoretical and practical implications of the study have been discussed along with limitations and future scope of the study.
