Abstract: | In the present dissertation the allelic frequency distribution and their genetic and evolutionary significances have been described in chapters- 2,3 and4. In the Chapter 5 two essential and significant questions are considered for the analysis. newline1. The heterozygosity and gene diversity in the tribal populations selected for study and compare with some non-tribal populations (secondary data). newline2. To estimate the genetic relationship among the tribal populations selected for the study and compare with some non-tribal populations (Secondary data). newlineThe calculated values of Nei s gene diversity indexes like gene diversity in the total population (HT), intra population gene diversity (HS), inter population gene diversity (DST) and coefficient of gene differentiation (GST) were calculated for all these three group of demes considered for the study. In group A of demes the mean HT, value is (0.3643), the HS value is (0.3556), the DST value is (0.0086) and the GST value is (0.0624). In group B of demes the mean HT value is (0.3553), the HS value is (0.3433), the DST value is (0.0113) and the GST value is (0.0396). In group C of demes the mean HT, value is (0.3778), the HS value is (0.3536), the DST value is (0.0242) and the GST value is (0.0601). newlineThe dendrogram is based on unweighted pair group or group average hierarchical technique. The dendrogram of three demes selected from the tribal populations of Kishanganj represents that Munda and Oraon are more closer genetically than the Santhal. The dendrogram of mixed population represents four clusters A,B,C and D. newline |
