Abstract: The government of India is in continuous effort to promote the concept of selfsustenance andmake in India. For a developing country like India to be on par with other newlinedeveloped nations itis highly important to encourage and build the consciousness of newlineentrepreneurship in earlier years of students especially for women students. This newlinebecomes more relevant in technical education institutions where there is a lot of scope newlinefor women students for innovation and development. With objective of understanding newlinethe role of institutions in encouraging and motivating the students especially girls this newlinestudy explored some of the interesting componentsand was able to understand some of newlinethe significant components of women entrepreneurship. The study is based on 1708 newlineresponses collected from NAAC accredited 114 institutions acrossIndia. The study was newlinealso able to capture some of the interesting facts about the role of independent variables newlinelike risk taking propensity, locus of control, attitude, perceived barriersand perceived newlinesupport which is having an influence on the Entrepreneurial Intent and Entrepreneurial newlineReadiness among the women students in technical institutions. The study wasalso able newlineto find that institutional support plays a significant role between the antecedents of newlineentrepreneurship and entrepreneurial readiness. It was also seen in the study that the newlineparents background considered as a control variable proves to show that the background newlineplay a role inthe girl student s mind-set towards taking entrepreneurship as their newlineprimary option posttechnical education. Hence it is advised that parents irrespective of newlinetheir background encouragetheir girl child to take entrepreneurship as there are many newlinegovernmentssupport as well. Overall,the study gives a clear understanding about the role newlineof institutions in encouraging andupbringing the talent and entrepreneurial attitude newlineamong technical students especially girls.
