dc.description.abstract | Sustainable use of toilets and providing technologies suitable for rural areas is still an open-ended loop. It has been observed in most of the rural areas that the de-sludging activity happens in a very erratic and irregular manner. During ODF has built single pit systems, over the period it s noticed that pits were full and it s affecting public behavior change and majorly costing Social, Economic and Environmental issues like water, soil and Air pollution and aesthetic appearance. Faecal Sludge Management and providing continuous access to toilets at present is becoming a biggest challenge with the limited facilities like Space constraint and lack of access to technology and connectivity to urban infrastructure. This thesis report analysis various treatment technologies available for Faecal sludge along with their end products and the study was carried out to understand the existing toilet facilities on ground in rural areas of Chikkaballapur district. newline | |
