Abstract: Friction Welding (FW) is a solid-state welding process, which utilizes the heat generation from the friction induced between the work pieces rotating against each other or one rotating against the fixed one with applied forging pressure which creates an upset that plasticize the material and completes welding. Friction welding is a rapid welding process which completes a joint in a few seconds so that it is used in various industries for welding as wide variety of materials for mass productivity. newline
