Effect of Active Compounds of Agaricus against Experimentally Induced Parkinson s Disease

Abstract

The Neurodegenerative disorder Parkinsonism has collection of symptoms which degrades the regular locomotor activities of individuals. Study on this was conducted by eliciting the effect of Rotenone in SHSY5Y neuronal cells purchased from cellular science institute Pune. The antioxidant effect of Agaricus was revealed. Then study was carried out by measuring the viability of Neuroblastoma cells in acute and chronic. To find the therapeutic effect of Agaricus on Rotenone model, experimental animals were treated with different concentrations of Rotenone followed by Agaricus. Estimation of Oxidant TBARS and Antioxidant SOD, GH, GSH summarised. Rotenone which is insecticide and pesticide by altering the mitochondrial membrane potential enhances the production of ROS, Superoxide dismutase, Hydrogen Peroxide and Hydroxyl Radical, mitochondrialcomplexI has 46 subunit genes Ndufs4 gene is required for complete assembly and function of complexI, the reliable concentration of Agaricus reduces the oxidant activity and increases Antioxidants in cellular model and experimental model.
