A tumor is newlinetransformed from an avascular state to a vascular state with the help of tumor newlineangiogenesis. Tumor angiogenesis is the growth of new blood vessels from newlineexisting vessels. A tumor has the capacity to sustain only up to 1mm-2mm in newlinediameter by the process of diffusion from nearby blood vessels. Once it newlinereaches the critical size, it starts secreting certain chemicals like Tumor newlineAngiogenesis Factors (TAFs), certain enzymes like Matrix newlineMetalloProteinases (MMPs) and many other factors. These initiate the tumor newlineangiogenesis process.
