Abstract: | This dissertation presents the studies on the complexation, thermodynamic, and photophysical properties of two new C3 symmetric tripodal ligands and one symmetric dipodal ligand with some trivalent metal ions. The main focus of the research is on siderophore analogs, aiming to gain a comprehensive understanding, facilitate rational design, and explore innovative synthetic alternatives for these ligands. To achieve this objective, the synthetic counterparts were developed using a simulated design process that combined the features of enterobactin and HOPO bactin, two naturally occurring siderophores. newline |
