Abstract: | Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs, for example, pharmaceuticals, personal care products, and endocrine disrupters) are a growing problem in the world due to natural disasters, population growth, and water pollution. The potential reuse of onsite rural wastewater or treated municipal wastewater from treatment plants for agricultural and industrial activities may be the best solution for the future of sustainable water management in water-deprived countries. It is projected that the reuse of these wastewaters will offset the need for additional sources of clean water as they represent one of the largest conceivable water resources. To handle wastewater that is contaminated with POPs, cutting-edge water treatment methods are needed that are both cost-effective and highly efficient. Traditional methods of water purification have drawbacks such as incomplete removal, high consumption of chemical reagent, high treatment cost, time consumption, and generation of toxic secondary pollutants. newlineThe photo degradation process of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) has been widely studied for its ability to rapidly degrade and mineralize resistant organic molecules. Nano-TiO2 photo catalyst is one of the most well-known among metal oxides due to its high efficiency, low cost, physical and chemical stability, widespread availability, and noncorrosive properties. It is effective against a wide range of organic and inorganic contaminants and can be used to produce energetic quotholesquot in the valence band, making it suitable for use as a semiconductor. The reaction of free electrons with oxygen and energetic holes with water results in the formation of superoxide radical anions (O2) and hydroxyl radicals (OH). To this day, air cleaning is the primary application for titanium dioxide (TiO2). newlineWater Quality of Shakkar River And Pench River : Physico-chemical study and biological study of Shakkar river water and Pench river water show the small deviation of prescribed water quality standards given by World Health Organization, Beauro o |
