Abstract: | The emerging fifth Generation (5G) communication provides not only voice communications but also high speed data and multimedia services. Nowadays, multicarrier systems are growing rapidly in wireless communication because of the high data rate requirements. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a digital modulation method implemented in many wired or wireless communications. The main drawback of multicarrier transmission is signal degradation due to propagation loss. The purpose of wireless technology is to provide the effective utilization of higher bandwidth in high quality service with efficient transmission technique. The long distance multimedia communication requires large bandwidth and efficient transmission techniques. The Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology is introduced with multiple antennas at transmitter and receiver sides to increase the spectral efficiency and communication reliability. Multiple Input Multiple Outputs based Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) provides better transmission for wireless application. MIMO-OFDM technology increases the coverage area and service quality of the Wireless Communication System (WCS) for maximizing the diversity and array gain. Multimedia communications require a large bandwidth for data rates and a large number of subscribers. In MIMO-OFDM receivers, there are some imbalances in the received signal, which are caused by Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) and Intercarrier Interference (ICI). Then ISI and ICI causes reduction in the newline |
