Abstract: For the past decades, the flue gas emitted from waste incinerator, newlinepower plant, and various industries is a permanent problem for the newlineenvironment and affecting human life. Many flue gas filtration devices have newlinebeen emerging out over the years. Although, the electrostatic precipitator is an newlineappropriate device due to high filtration efficiency and little pressure drop and newlineenergy efficiency, the cost and design of the electrostatic precipitator are newlinemajor restrictions for manufacturers and end-users. With recent advances in newlinetechnology, designing a cost-effective and less complex electrostatic newlineprecipitator has become mandatory. The aim of this work is to design and newlinedevelop a solar-powered cost-effective needle-plate type electrostatic newlineprecipitator which includes static power converters and high-voltage newlineTransformer-Rectifier (T-R) set with an input voltage as 230V AC, output newlinevoltage as 80-kV Direct Current (DC), and output current of 40mA for newlinemitigation of flue gas emissions exhaust from medical waste incinerator. newlineThe first contribution is precise modeling of Photo-Voltaic Module newlinewhich is mandatory before the installation part for better efficiency. However, newlinethe precise modeling is tedious since certain parameters are not mentioned in newlinethe manufacturerand#8223;s datasheets. In this work, Predator-Prey based firefly newlineoptimization algorithm and several other algorithms have been proposed and newlineimplemented to optimize the unknown values in Photo-Voltaic Module newlinenon-linear equations by varying the curve at different environmental newlineconditions. The unknown parameters of 250Wp SVL 0250P Photo-Voltaic newlinemodule have been optimized using Predator-Prey based firefly optimization, newlineJaya Algorithm, and Back Search Algorithm. newline
