dc.description.abstractnewline Solar Photovoltaic system is an emergent technology that generates electricity without delivering any form of pollution in to the biological environment that we live. Various investigations are in progress to extract maximum electric power even under challenging circumstances like partial shading condition, hotspot development, PV panel aging, physical damage to the PV panels either accidental or by natural calamities, linking of dissimilar panels, etc. To overcome the above-mentioned hindrances that prevent the delivery of rated maximum power output of the PV panel, novel methods have been furnished in this research to enable the PV system to deliver enhanced power output. It is a difficult task to physically identify a faulty panel whenever fault occurs on them. Hence, a novel fault detection algorithm called truncated arrangement of active cell, based on kalman filter is structured to detect and improve the power output of the PV system. In order to install good quality panels in the desired location, the panels need to be examined thoroughly that no defects are present. For inspecting the panels, a new method of quality span prediction algorithm has been framed.
